Philosophy:  I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a collaborative one, focused on helping individuals better understand and resolve their challenges. Positive change occurs when clients feel genuinely valued, supported and safe to explore the things that are preventing them from advancing in their lives.

Style: I help my clients identify their needs and work toward their goals using a person-centered approach. I build trust through balancing a caring, supportive style with honesty and candor. My clinical approach is both holistic and integrative, utilizing CBT, DBT, Behavioral Modification techniques, interpersonal skills training and psycho-education on wellness.

Specialties: Adolescents, teens, families and adult counseling. I specialize in treating ADHD and co-occurring disorders such as ODD, anxiety and depression.

Experience: Over the last several years, I worked as a clinician for an intensive in-home psychiatric program for children and teens. This researched-based program allowed me to grow as a counselor, granting me the opportunity to work intimately with clients through a family systems approach. I work with children and adults who struggle with relationships, depression, anxiety, anger management, self-esteem issues, substance abuse and ADHD. I also focus on children who face learning challenges, social skills deficits, trauma history, and instability in the home.

Education: MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, University of Bridgeport 2015

License: CT LPC 2018

Certification: Certified trainer for CHADD's seminar on parenting children with ADHD, and working in a public school system's special education department.
